family friday

yesterday, oscar adopted me as his daughter and we're now family for each other. we're going to adopt miss peach to be dad's other daughter and my sister.

families aren't always about blood relationships--or even resemblances (although i do resemble my dad). families are sometimes about the ones we're close to, the ones we connect with, the ones we love and who love us.

in many ways, the cat blogosphere is a big family. we care about each other, are considerate, compassionate, generous, kind, and loving.

for some of our non-blogging friends, blogging might seem to be a silly venture, but for those of us who are here often, we achieve a very real connection with a world-wide community. how lucky we are!

my dad, oscar

my soon to be adopted sister miss peach

my brother, benjamin the second

my cousins, daisymae maus and the feline americans

feel free to do your own 'family friday'...you can link here to let us know who's in your family!

My old eyes are leaking so much I can bearly rite...so my mommy bean has to do it now.
Hello Sweet Suz...Peaches is just beside herself with new found happiness. She has been all alone since her sweet friend Henry died on his 3rd birthday. We both still yearn for him so much. Having a family is a wonderful gift and she would be honored to be a part of yours and Oscar the Puppy Cat's. I just love how you painted the picture in your blog about the importance of family.
Peach is a lucky cat to be a part of this BIG family with every cat here.
With much love...Peachy's mombean

AWWW! Suz, that was just so sweet and so true as well. Family is very important. I thought that Miss Peach would make a great sister and as I get to know her more, I know that I'm just going to lover her! Well, I forgot to mention that you have cousins! Lets see:
Marley, Emma, Benji and Sammy the woofie from Kat's Cat of the Day. They're actually my cousins but they're still your family!
I haven't spoken to Miss Peach yet today so I will go and visit her right now.
Have a great day dear daughter!

I love you, too!
Daddy

I love your post about family, Suzanne. It really touched me. I also feel a connection to the people and kitties of the CatBlogosphere which is hard to describe, but it has really added something to my life.
