visiting my cousin

i visited daisymae maus this morning. her mom is sending out lots of secret paws presents today. that reminded mom that ours have to get going too. she and i went shopping, so now it's time to wrap everything up and send it off in the mail. we put our heads together to shop for the kitty that suzanne had...so that her secret paw will still get fun stuff. thanks for the reminder, dmm!

today before going to the office, mom has to go to an interesting shop in ballard (the scandinavian area of seattle--ja sure, you betcha) to a place called archie mcphee. they have a store front and an on-line catalog. anyway, mom's got to pick this up (for a party at work). if you like goofy novelty things--including some off-the-wall stuff, this is definitely the place to go!

Shopping for Secret Paws must be both fun and a little sad for you this year. That is a funny disguise. The store must be very amusing.

Dear Ben,

Big hugs to you and your mom! Have fun shopping, and know that I am thinking about you both.

Purrs and snuggles from your loving sister,

Marilyn.

Omigoodness ... That's a funny disguise, 'cept I don't think that your furry distinctive momma is gonna be furry well-disguised with those eyebrows and glasses. Her hair will give her identity away for sure!

OMG I haven't thought about Archie McPhees since forever! I used to go there with my bestest friend from college (who grew up in Ballard - her summer job was making Lefsa, of course) Thanks for the memory!

I think we need to see a pic of your momma in that disguise, too. Ha, ha... XOX T.

That sounds like a way cool store! Mom has a project up in Seattle, so next time she is there, I'll make sure she checks it out!

I wish I had one of those disguises ... for when I want to fool Mom & Dad.

I know it's got to be tough shopping for Suzanne's secret paw. It's hard losing a little one. Even today Mommy cried about McKenzie and it's been four months.

On a happier note, Mommy's also happy because she thinks she's found a baby meezer. They get to go see it on Saturday!
