mom toni: ben is eager to blog. it's not meant to be any disrespect suzanne. there is plenty of mourning here.
ben: wow...any of the small changes i make to start managing our blog change suz's layout...all the way back to the beginning! please don't think i'm disrespecting her...i'm not! i wasn't always extra-nice to her, but i did love her, and i know how much mom loved her! i think you all loved her too.
i don't live under the bed...unless mom's mad at me...which was only if i played too hard with suzanne. i love company and making friends with anyone who comes over. i'm pretty sure i'm handsome, and that everyone else thinks i am too. i love to play...and will drag my toys all over the house. believe it or not, i'm a little afraid of the whirly bird that my cousin daisymae maus sent!
human food doesn't interest me at all. i'm picky about snacks...i ate suzanne's dairy flavored temptations because that's what mom bought. i'll try to convince her to be more adventurous in my snacks.
i'm not a lap sitter. i like to sprawl on mom's chest so she can't see her book or watch tv. sometimes, i get so close, all she can breathe is my fur! i'm a bit of a rascal.
finally, please keep purring and purraying for mom. i know she's sad. she cries. and then she hugs me hard.
i'm looking forward to getting to know you...and to having your company while mom's out of town.

Thank you for sharing some things about you, Ben2. We're excited to get to know you. It's ok to want to blog and we know that Suzanne will never ever be forgotten. We are purraying and sending lots of loving thoughts to your mom. It's not easy to lose a furbaby. Just keep snuggling with her and let her know that you're there.
Dear Ben2, It is lovely to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you. It sounds like you are doing a good job comforting your mom. Give her lots of purrs from Monica and I. We would love to have you join the Pablo Fan Club, when you feel up to it. You will really like Pablo.
Whoops! I meant lots of purrs from Phoebe and I... He he, I forgot who I was for a minute there...
Ben2, thanks for introducing yourself. I look forward to getting to know you. My mom thinks you are very handsome.
You and your mom are in my thoughts and prayers. The angel graphic of Suzanne in your sidebar is beautiful.
Ben2, it is not disrespectful of Suzanne's memory to want to start blogging. I think it is a tribute to her memory that you will carry on for her, but in your own way. And I am looking forward to getting to know you better, Ben2.
The angel Suzanne on your blog is very beautiful.
Hi Ben,
We are very much looking forward to getting know you better and are excited that you will be blogging.

Welcome Ben. My littermate sister went to The Bridge very suddenly 4 years ago so I know what you're going through. I cried and cried, looking for her all through the house. After 2 weeks, Mom & Dad got so worried about me they decided to get me a kitten. That's how we adopted Tipper.

It's going to be great getting to know you better, Ben. I know you mean no disrespect to Suzanne by wanting to change the blog a little. I think it's unfortunate that you can't just make the changes from now forward, without changing the way the blog was in the past. Give your Mom lots of snuggles. It will comfort you both.
Ben you seem to be a great Mancat. It's wonderful to know you. You seem quite interesting and good-natured as well as funny! So glad that you have started blogging :) I was so worried what would happen to this blog now. Very nice of you to carry on in Suz's place.
I would love to be your uncle! It's a great honor and I really appreciate it!!!
All my Love ~

Oh geez. Now we're getting the leaky eye thing again!!!!!
We're glad to get to know you Ben2. You look like you have a lot of fur. Please don't suffocate your mommy when you lay in her face.
We love the angel of Suzanne in your sidebar. Very touching.
We'll try not to have any out-of- litter-box experiences when we come over to keep you company the next 3 days, but we can't promise anything....
Luf, us
Hello Ben <3 we are so happy that you are taking over the reins of your wonderful sister's bloggie. Gosh we cried all day yesterday.
You are so floooofy and adorable.
You make us happy.
The picture of Suzanne with her angel wings is so lovely.

Hi Ben2! There is no disrespect in wanting to blog. We know that Suzanne will keep an eye on you and your Mommy from the Bridge. I loved getting to know you a little better and I look forward to hearing more from you. Don't squish your Mommy when you lay on her chest and tell her that if she finds a way to keep your fur out of her mouth to let mt Mommy know how she does it 'cause Rudy does the same thing to her and he is all floof like you.
You have a very important job now, keeping your Mommy loved and helping her leaky eyes.
We love you and your Mom and we miss Suzanne an awful lot.
Purrs,
We are so furry sorry to hear of your loss of dear Suzanne.
Ben2 you sound like a furry interestin' mancat - we look forward to hearin' more from you!

Nice to get to know you more! I think you are doing a great job in continuing with the blogging and giving comfort to your mommy.
We look forward to seeing your blog always!
We know that it's not disrepectful for Suzanne and we know how much you and your Mommy miss her and will grieve for losing her, but we're very excited to get to know you. We think you are adorable (and handsome too).
Zoey's mommy here: To answer your Mommy's question, I learned how to do the stained glass by taking a class at the local community college. My Dad did it when I was growing up but he only knew the lead came method. So when I was bored after I finished school and got a "real" job, he and I took an evening class together so we could learn the copper foil method. It was lots of fun and it only took a couple of weeks for us to learn everything we needed to know and learn where we could go for help as I tried more adventurous pieces.
Dear Ben2 and Ben2 and Suz's Mom,
Here's another precious poem I wanted to share with you. I hope it brings you comfort. I thought of precious Suz when I read it.
Love, purrs, and snuggles from Marilyn.

NOTE FROM THE BRIDGE
author unknown
To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know,
that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from the Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more tears of sadness.
Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you
every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me
and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family,
They'll be here later on."
God gave me a list of things,
that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list,
was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night
the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you...
in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth,
and all those loving years,
because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry,
it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers,
unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you
all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you,
you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain,
though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now,
than I ever was before.
There are rocky roads ahead of you
and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it
by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy
and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world,
the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody
who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night...
"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented...
that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along
I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody
who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up,
as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street
with me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps
only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go...
from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going...
you're coming here to me.
I'm just dropping by again. If there is anything I can do for you, just drop me a line at nyctolops AT vla.com. I can't say I know what you are going through, because I never lived with a kitty for so many years, but I do know the heartbreak of losing one. Just let me give you some virtual {{{{hugs}}}}.
That is nice that you start blogging now Ben ! you seem to be quite a cat ! we have a new kitten Rosie 6 weeks old if you want to look at her but don't behave like Arthur he is afraid of this mini cat !
I'm glad you can be there for your mom in this sad time. I'm happy to get to know you better and if I were you I'd give the Whirly-Bird another try but I understand your fear of it.

Dear Ben2,
consider us your friends, for sure!
We are thinking of your Mom and Suzanne a lot. We know Suzanne is fine wherever she is, we hope your Mom will be fine too.
Just go out of your way a bit right now and help her.
That Angel picture of Suzanne is really sweet! We think it's o.k. to change the blog a bit, as long as you always keep a picture of Suzanne on it!!!
Lots of Purrs

Thanks for telling us more about you Ben2. We understand you need to make changes to the site, that doesn't mean you don't love and miss Suzanne. She would want you to enjoy blogging as much as she did.
It is a shame you can't keep it the way it was, but
she'll be remembered for who she was, not what her blog looked like.
We've been keeping your mommy in our thoughts and will continue to do so.
PS the graphic of Suzanne made us leaky. It is beautiful
hello, ben2! (do you prefer that, or just "ben"?) we are pleased to meetcha in person. you seem to be taking good care of your mom, so you're OK in our book!! keep up the good work. that, more than anything, shows how respectful you are--don't worry about little things like adjustments to the bloggie.
it's nice to learn a little about you, an' if you visit our bloggie now an' then, you'll see a little bit about us. c'mon down to missouri anytime for a "heapin' helpin' of our hospitality!"
