saturday morning at the golf course

while not hot, it has been quite warm here. this morning, jade and i are going for a stroll at the golf course that's right outside my window.

it's lovely green, well-kept, and known as the 'driest course' in seattle thanks to a sophisticated drainage system.

we'll stroll the paths for awhile...watching the squirrels, chuckling over the territorial hummingbirds, staying clear of the golfers. at the 9th hole, we'll switch to a golf cart. i don't want to tire jade too much. it's a long trek.

when we return to the clubhouse, we'll feast at the weekend brunch and sip the 'nip coolers i've brought along.

Hello Ben, my dad is out on the course today, but he wouldn't let me go!! I told him I could chase the balls as they got close to the hole, but he didn't think that would be a good idea. I wonder why? (T) We are trying to catch up with everyone. We got so far behind when Mom was on vacation. We love your Proverbs and Lucy is getting so big. She's learning to blog very quickly!! Have a good weekend.

Oh Benji, what a fabulous day it was, too. I was quite delighted with the catnip and shrrrimp salad. Golf courrrses arrre lovely. My grrrand beans live acrrross frrrom one too. In fact that is how my cousin Birrrdie came to live with them. She is a floofy calico with 6 appendages on each paw. She might be a Hemingway cat--(not rrreally)but she's made like one. The grrrand beans arrre Giant's fans and Golf frrreaks. Purrrhaps I will get some picturrres of Birrrdie to show
everrryone.
Love,

Jade
