thirteen things to love about kittens (or more specifically--our kitten):
1. she's got a round little tummy after every meal
2. her toes spread when a finger is run along a toe pad
3. her tail is long and skinny...and she hasn't yet realized it belongs to her
4. bright eyes...huge bright eyes that see everything...and frequently don't have any clue what it means
5. curiosity: there's a paw under the door and a hissing kitty hiding somewhere. hmmmm. oh! they're attached!
6. speed: eating, drinking, purring, running, skittering, catching fishing toys.
7. jumping ability: our kitten can jump straight up into the air for reasons that neither mom nor i can figure out
8. our kitten has a very big purr. a huge purr in fact. and this is one tiny cat!
9. she lifts her head and shoulders in anticipation of some stroking
10. she's willing to recline on her back with tickles on her tummy
11. she already knows how to bunny kick...and she demonstrates excellent form
12. she hasn't yet realized that if mom has made a lap, the best place to be is in that lap
13. she sleeps in the nursery and i sleep with mom

Aww, very sweet, Ben. :) The new kitten sounds wonderful! :) I'm glad that you and your mom are enjoying your time with her. It sounds like she's fitting right in!
Oh Benjamin! You and Jade are the most purrrrfect couple of lovey dovey kitty kats! Of course I will save you cake! COme on over any time...I will show you both my pond if you like to see the fishes. I also have trees for her to climb.
Oh have you named the kitten yet> She can bunny kick already? thats so cool! it is my favorite thing to do besides dance!
Hi Benjamin. Thanks for coming to visit. You're a beautiful boy from your photo.
Yep, I'm definitely buying the Lotto ticket. If I win, you'll hear the screams in Seattle!
Love your 13 things about your kitten. She sounds so friendly and playful.
I hope I see you again. Take care.
These are some sweet facts. Lucy seems to be a real curious and adorable kitty. I loved your post about the plight of bears - bear bile trade is very cruel indeed. I read about it sometime ago. The process of extraction of bile is indeed quite painful. A while ago I think a bear even killed his keeper doing this.
In Pakistan more than a decade ago, black bears were used by roadside circus acts - fortunately this was outlawed and they were rescued by a former prime minister and are now safe. I have some pictures of some of those bears that I will try and share some time!
love to ben and lucy from omer, snow, forest and kitties :)
Ben that was very very sweet and aren't kittens wonderful! I'm glad that things are working out.

She sounds adorable you must post photos please :)
I saw her in your other post and I was right she's adorable.
It seems to me that you described little Rosie ! She does all these things too and she has discovered my lap and sleeps with me at night. She never wakes me up, but when I am awoken she leaks my nose and if I push her away she starts with my whole face ! It's very kind of her but too much is too much, lol !
Those are wonderful reasons to love your kitten! She's a cutey, alright!

That's a great list. All those things are so true about baby kitties.
Love,
Tazo
Your little sister sounds perfect!
You have perfectly captured the essence of kittens!
She looks like she is very alert... and three steps ahead of you two... so just keep up the pace :-D
Mommie and Blizzie saw some kit-tens at the vetlady. They were orange brothers. They were very very silly.
Enjoy having a kit-ten in the house.
They grow so fast!
Love, PrinFlower
Benjamin that was a very sweet TT for yore new sister. She sounds absolutely delightful. And we told mom that we're NOT getting a new kitten.
We just read on the big piney woods cat bloggie you signed your name Benfuzznik.
:-D
Love it.

I'm glad that the new kitten is working out!
Oh Ben, dear, little Lucy sounds so precious! In fact, Mom made her SQUEE noise, reading your list. Itty bitty baby kitties are just adorable, aren't they? They have such enthusiasm about everything -- such curiosity! And how darling that itty bitty Lucy has such a BIG, BIG purrrrr!
And the flowers and catnip you are giving Jade today are lovely -- I'm sure they will make her so happy.
Purrs and snuggles from your loving sister,
Marilyn.
Inquiring minds want to know - has she got a name yet? :-) T.
Oh ... so very true 'bout kittens. I guess that's why Mom loves 'em so much ... We do much of that stuff, too ... Charmee especially (an' he's older than you are, Ben!).
Concatulations on your new addition to your fambly! Be very, very happy!

I love your TT about your new kitten. I also love those big round eyes. I remember when Buddah used to chase his own tail. Boy, was he ever surprised the day he caught it and bit it! Enjoy the time you have before the kitten discovers laps, Ben.
Very sweet of you~!
You will sweetly be with your momma~~~
Benjamin.....are you still hissing or have you loved on the kitty yet? I understand either way...
this is a hard adjustment. The rewards will be sweet if you give it all you have!
Dear Mr Fuzz, I like the sound of your kitten very much. I would quite like one except the humans think I would be a bit rough. I don't mean to be rough I just get a bit excited when I am playing. You know what it's like? Maybe I will ask them again for a kitten. FAZ
OH - can i can i can i??? I would love to be a big sis to your lil sis!!!
Say....if lil kitten Lucy is my lil sis and she's YOUR lil sis...does that make you my big bro?????
:)))))))
